Matisyahu, Chiodos sign on for Warped tour dates


Hasidic reggae rapper Matisyahu and rock act Chiodos will join the 2008 Vans Warped Tour lineup for limited dates this July, Billboard.com has learned. Matisyahu, who joins the Vans Warped Tour for the first time, will appear in the traveling rock festival July 9-11 and on July 13 at St. John’s Country Fairgrounds in Jacksonville, Florida. Vans Warped Tour veteran Chiodos joins the trek on July 18 at Comerica Park in Detroit. It’s officially ok for me to start dating Hilary Duff. In case you haven’t heard, she’s a college girl now, cramming in a few online classes in her free time through the Harvard Extension School. Unfortunately, when she made this announcement on her Web site a month ago, she chose to omit the word “Extension” and in doing so implied that she went to the “real” Harvard. Simple Plan Unveils New Video


On Sunday (August 10) Simple Plan was among the bands that wrapped up this year’s Van’s Warped Tour with a performance in Asbury Park, New Jersey. On Tuesday (August 12), the band will be in New York City to introduce the world premiere of their video “Perfect” on MTV’s Total Request Live. The video was filmed in Los Angeles by director Liz Friedlander who has worked with Avril Lavigne, Michelle Branch, and Kelly Clarkson, among others. It may have been the year of 50 Cent, but he’ll play second fiddle to Missy Elliott, Justin Timberlake and country legend Johnny Cash heading into the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards. Elliott led the pack with eight nominations for her eye-popping “Work It” video when the nods were announced Thursday morning. The clip counts nominations for Video of the Year, Best Female Video, Best Hip-Hop Video and Best Direction in a Video among its stash. The Donnas To Release Remix Of 'Too Bad About Your Girl'


The Donnas are in Los Angeles shooting a music video for a remixed version of their song “Too Bad About Your Girl,” which appears on the band’s latest album, Spend The Night. The track was remixed for the soundtrack to the film Grind, which opens August 15. The soundtrack hits stores on August 12.
