The Warped Tour, the annual traveling festival that targets the Vans-wearing, emo-loving youth of America, has recently announced the lineup for their 2009 caravan. As usual (and because the event is celebrating its 15th anniversary), the lineup combines older acts like NOFX, Less Than Jake and Bad Religion with newer artists like 3OH!3 and Black Tide. HIM will be the star attraction at this spring’s Give It A Name rock festival, Sound Generator can reveal. Confirmed today, the Californian rockers will head one night, in London, for the hard rock event, which travels through London, Birmingham and Glasgow in late April. Joining HIM on the bill will be The Used, playing second headliner. High energy slots will also come from Alexisonfire, Juliette and the Licks, From First To Last, Mindless Self Indulgence and Cry For Silence. MuchMusic has announced their list of nominees, performers and celebrity guests for the 16th Annual MuchMusic Video Awards. The Awards take place June 19 in Toronto. The big event snagged The Killers, The Black Eyed Peas, K-OS, Billy Talent, Alexisonfire, Ciara and lip-synching wonder Ashlee Simpson to perform. The Backstreet Boys won’t actually sing at the show, but they will attend the MMVAs in the company of other celebrity guests Sum 41, Kalan Porter, Keshia Chante, Jully Black and Kelly Osbourne. At Juno 2005, the theme was pretty obvious – out with the old, in with the new. Gone from the winner’s circle were artists such as Shania Twain, Alanis Morissette, Barenaked Ladies and K.D. Lang.
