Released via independent label Wax Bodega, their latest effort finds Hot Mulligan at their poppiest, loudest and most anthemic yet. In a surprising move during the trio’s Detroit, MI performance last night (May 9), blink-182 played a snippet of Taylor Swift‘s 6x platinum song “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” following a performance of their own hit single, “Dammit.” The unexpected mashup is quite a tongue-in-cheek moment for the group considering guitarist Tom DeLonge’s return to the band in 2022 following his initial departure in 2015. The show must go on! After being forced to postpone their forthcoming performances in South America due to drummer Travis Barker’s hand injury, blink-182 has announced partial details for rescheduled shows in Lima and Mexico City. The trio will head out to South America in 2024 and have added a fourth Mexico City performance. Today, Hot Mulligan have released another new track from their upcoming album Why Would I Watch out May 12th via Wax Bodega. The new tune “Gans Media Retro Games” shows the band at their loudest and poppiest. This track follows the release of their song “Shhhh! Golf is On” last month, both produced by their long time studio partner, Brett Romnes.
