Maryland’s The Dangerous Summer is back with the second taste of their forthcoming record with a new single, “What’s An Hour Really Worth.” “This song came somewhat earlier on in the writing process. That original riff really sent us into the chase of this song,” vocalist AJ Perdomo says. “The way all of the instruments push and pull really reminds me of a futuristic Reach For The Sun track.” He continues, “I remember when we reached the bridge, we really tried to switch it up. We try to set limitations to reach new ground sometimes, and the limitation we set was… Read more »

SeeYouSpaceCowboy fans, the big day has finally arrived. The band’s 12-track Coup De Grâce is here in all its glory via Pure Noise Records. The San Diego hardcore act also dropped a new music video for “Lubricant Like Kerosene” featuring Kim Dracula. The dark, sexy video is unrelenting in its instrumentals and fearless with its hard-hitting, fiery (no pun intended) vocals—an instant classic. Frontwoman Connie Sgarbossa says of the record, “This album was a chance for us to refine some of the melodic elements we had recently introduced to the band while also playing around with all things and bringing… Read more »
Phoenix, Arizona’s shoegaze artists Glixen have just wrapped up various tour dates with Softcult, Glitterer, and fish narc, and they are back with a new heavy-hitting single, “lust.” Previously, the band released track, “foreversoon” highlighting the glow of new love. The new track is wrapped in face-melting, fuzzy guitar riffs, which craft an awe-inspiring juxtaposition with ethereal vocals. Check out “lust” below. Lead vocalist Aislinn Ritchie says, “‘lust’ is about the yearning and wanting of somebody and the rush that that person makes you feel. It is a feeling… Read more »
Coffin Crew the latest devotion ceremony is officially in session as The Funeral Portrait taps The Used’s frontman, Bert McCracken, on their brand-new release, “You’re So Ugly When You Cry.” The hymn is a sultry display of devotion that draws from the band and McCracken’s shared flair for the dramatics. Cue a signature maniacal laugh courtesy of McCracken. Of the theme of “You’re So Ugly When You Cry,” frontman Lee Jennings explains, “It’s not about healing or the come-up later on, it’s about telling people ‘it sucks right now, I don’t like who I am when I’m like this, and… Read more »
