A former roadie for Blink-182 claims he’s the smart aleck who came up with the title Take Off Your Pants and Jacket, which the band used in 2001 for its fifth album. Larry Palm filed a lawsuit against the band on Thursday in Los Angeles Supreme Court for breach of oral and/or implied contract, promissory estoppel, fraud and unjust enrichment. Blink-182 are continuing their fine tradition of potty humor album titles, following up 2001’s Take Off Your Pants and Jacket with Use Your Erection I and II. Drummer Travis Barker revealed the Guns N’ Roses-inspired name at Saturday’s KROQ Weenie Roast, where he performed with the Transplants. He said the album is due October 28, although a spokesperson at the band’s label said it’s scheduled for November. Sony Computer Entertainment America Inc. announced today that five additional major recording artists have agreed to provide music and video content for the upcoming rhythm-action game, Amplitude, developed exclusively for the PlayStation(R)2 computer entertainment system. Expanding upon a top-tier music roster covering hip-hop, rap, electronica and rock, the newly signed bands include blink 182, P.O.D., Mekon, Freezepop and Dieselboy. Two of the bands most responsible for the commercial popularity of melodic punk rock in the 1990s have come together for the coast-to-coast Pop Disaster tour, which touched down Wednesday at the nearly sold-out Forum after two big outdoor shows the previous weekend in Irvine. Both groups approached the show with a workmanlike greatest-hits mentality that was just a tad disappointing. Despite what his Blink-182 and Box Car Racer bandmate Tom DeLonge said recently, Travis Barker isn’t “in, like, 10 bands.” The drummer does have a third group, though – one without ties to the dude ranchers who made him famous. The Transplants, a punk supergroup composed of drummer Travis Barker of Blink-182 and singer-guitarist Tim Armstrong and bassist Matt Freeman of Rancid, will release their debut album in September on Hellcat Records. “I got a call from Tim and he said, ‘What’s up?
