Outgoing AOL Time Warner Inc. Vice Chairman Ted Turner sold more than 5 million additional shares of the company’s common stock on Monday, according to a regulatory filing. Turner sold 5 million shares directly and 32,000 shares through Turner Partners LP for $10.05 to $10.61 a share, said the Form 4 released Thursday by the Securities and Exchange Commission. After the transactions, Turner directly owned 107.2 million common shares and indirectly owned 10.6 million common shares, including 7.8 million common shares through Turner Partners LP, in which he is a general partner. Members of the rock group Great White have been subpoenaed by prosecutors and said Tuesday they will appear before a grand jury investigating whether criminal charges should be filed in the nightclub inferno that killed 97 people. The grand jury was scheduled to convene Wednesday, and the band members were expected to testify the same day, according to law enforcement officials who spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity. A fast-moving fire – ignited by an indoor pyrotechnics display during a concert – killed at least 54 people late Thursday at a Providence, Rhode Island-area nightclub, officials said. Tickets for the Vans Warped Tour are set to go on pre-sale starting Thursday, March 6 at 9:00 p.m. ET. The first 1,000 fans who purchase tickets for the traveling tour will receive a copy of the 2003 Vans Warped Tour double CD compilation, which features songs from bands on this year’s festival. The recording industry directed its anti-piracy campaign at large companies in the United States, Europe and Asia on Thursday, warning them that employees are illegally downloading music on company time. Universal Music Group, the world’s largest recording company, on Thursday said that Marinus Henny was named as vice chairman in a promotion from his current role as chief financial officer. Henny joins Zach Horowitz, president and chief operating officer of Universal Music and Jorgen Larsen, chairman and chief executive officer of Universal Music International, in the company’s office of the chairman. That group reports to Doug Morris, chairman and chief executive officer of Universal Music. Universal Music is owned by Franco-American media group Vivendi Universal.
