Weeks After R. Kelly Benefit, Charity Wonders Where Money Is


R. Kelly staged a benefit concert for the troops, but did it raise any money? The designated beneficiary, the Texas Military Family Foundation, was told that it didn’t, and so far the foundation hasn’t received any proceeds from the event. On Thursday (November 13) R. Kelly’s reps said they’re about to rectify the situation, even if it means paying out of their own pockets. J.Lo Sued for Video Mimicking 'Flashdance'


Jennifer Lopez is being sued for copyright infringement for her video “I’m Glad,” an homage to the 1983 film “Flashdance,” by the real-life welder and dancer who was the inspiration for the film. The lawsuit, filed Thursday in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles, alleges Lopez illegally depicted the life of Maureen Marder. Verizon Wireless is taking tour sponsorship into the digital world in partnership with rock band Puddle of Mudd. R.I. Club Fire Emergency Tapes Released


Rescue workers arriving at February’s deadly nightclub fire met a horrific scene, describing a “stampede” and “people on fire inside,” tapes released Thursday show. “We have multiple people trapped. Plans for Music Museum Move Ahead


After 11 years of planning, backers of a National Music Center and Museum pledged Thursday to open the facility in the nation’s capital five years from now. “We will be having our grand opening in 2008,” said singer Nancy Sinatra. She has been working to build support for the project since her father, Frank Sinatra, died in 1998.
