The Mars Volta Announce North American Fall Tour Dates


The Mars Volta have announced another string of North American tour dates to kick off September 13th in Minneapolis, MN and wrap up October 11th in Salt Lake City, UT. This headline tour will follow their world tour, spanning the entirety of spring and summer 2023. This news comes after the post-prog-rock group released the album Que Dios Te Maldiga Mi Corazón, a complete acoustic re-working of their 2022 reunion album, The Mars Volta, last week. Bright Eyes, Mars Volta, and Floetry Among Nominees For Shortlist Music Prize


The Shortlist Organization announced today the complete “Long List” of eighty-six nominations for the 2003 Shortlist Music Prize, as selected by a panel of “Listmakers” including Flea, Erykah Badu, Perry Farrell, Chris Martin (Coldplay), and the directors Spike Jonze and Cameron Crowe. Mars Volta Keyboardist Found Dead


The Mars Volta keyboardist Jeremy Michael Ward, also a member of Defacto, has died from an apparent drug overdose, according to Defacto’s record company Gold Standard Labs (GSL).
