Nate Dogg spent a good part of his weekend answering to police officers. The singer, born Nathaniel Dawayne Hale, was arrested on Friday, just outside of Kingman, Arizona, when his tour bus was pulled over for speeding on Interstate 40. According to Ron Delonge, a lieutenant with the Kingman Highway Patrol, the arresting officer smelled what he thought was marijuana. A search of the vehicle turned up a handgun, which was reported as stolen, and four ounces of pot. Nate, who was traveling with eight others, was the only one formally charged and arrested. Cult rock duo Ween will put off the recording of its next studio album in favor of a summer North American tour. Dates begin Friday (April 19) in Asheville, N.C., and are booked through a June 23 appearance at the Bonnaroo Festival in Manchester, Tenn. You won’t have NetRadio to click around anymore… not that it’s a surprise; the Minneapolis-based Internet radio pioneer announced Oct. 17 that it would halt operations and fire most of its employees. But this week, NetRadio notified the Securities and Exchange Commission that its shareholders had overwhelmingly voted to liquidate its assets and dissolve the corporation. The vote, recorded April 2, shows 1,172,314 shares voting to liquidate, with only 3,440 shares voting against the plan. Another 442 share votes abstained. Country singer Lyle Lovett was in good condition after surgery to repair his right leg, broken when he was trampled by a bull while trying to help an uncle who had just been flipped by the animal. Lovett, 44, was injured on his uncle’s farm in suburban Houston on Wednesday, the Tomball Regional Hospital said in a release. A bull flipped Lovett’s uncle, Calvin Klein, 67, and Lovett was trampled while going to Klein’s rescue.
