GEORGE, South Africa – Former South African President Nelson Mandela, playing host to his second AIDS awareness concert on Saturday, told a crowd of 20,000 that women bear the brunt of the AIDS pandemic that has infected some 25 million people in Africa. The Vans Warped Tour has officially announced the lineup and itinerary for the 11th annual edition of the punk/skating tour. As previously reported by MTV News, the bill for the oldest touring festival in the U.S. will be topped by the Offspring and My Chemical Romance, along with the Transplants, MxPx, All-American Rejects, Dropkick Murphys, Thrice, Atreyu and Senses Fail. New York, Ny – Considered long overdue, multi-platinum artists Simple Plan and Good Charlotte are joining forces in what many consider the hottest concert this Spring. The two bands are planning a full-scale North American tour, which is tentatively scheduled to kick off May 3rd in Kansas City and expected to continue on through June 5th.
