Canadian power trio Rush will kick off its first tour in five years June 28 in Hartford, Conn. The 27 confirmed stops are the first in the band’s planned extensive tour in support of its latest Atlantic album, “Vapor Trails,” due May 14. R.E.M.’s Peter Buck was cleared of all charges alleging he behaved badly on a trans-Atlantic flight last April. An Isleworth Crown Court in London found the guitarist not guilty Friday (April 5) of assault, being drunk on an aircraft and damaging airline dishes, plates and other meal-service items, according to a court spokesperson. Buck waited with wife Stephanie and bandmates Michael Stipe and Mike Mills for the jury to render its verdict, which came after a five-and-a-half-hour deliberation. California pop/rock outfit Sugar Ray is hitting a host of small U.S. college campuses on its spring tour, which will kick off with a Feb. 15-17 stand at Caesars Tahoe casino in Lake Tahoe, Nev. George Harrison’s landmark album “All Things Must Pass” is flying off the shelves and up the charts on a wave of nostalgia after his death from cancer last week. “There has been a very significant sales rise since Friday.
