Music festival season is officially upon us. Coachella kicked off the start of massive summer concert events on April 11-13 and April 18-20, and Columbus’ Sonic Temple Festival closely followed up on May 8-11. Silverstein Announce ‘Pink Moon’ LP Release, Drop “Negative Space”

Following the arrival of Antibloom, the first half of their double album released earlier this year, Silverstein has announced the details for its companion, Pink Moon. Arriving on September 12 via UNFD, the second installment features guest appearances from powerhouse vocalists Rory Rodriguez (Dayseeker) and Cassadee Pope (formerly of Hey Monday), who lend their talents to the release. Watch: American Idol Contestant Nails Korn “Freak On A Leash” Audition

American Idol got a little *freaky* on its Sunday, March 9 season 23 premiere. One contestant stood in front of the three judges (Lionel Richie, Carrie Underwood, and Luke Bryan) to perform Korn‘s “Freak On A Leash.” The contestant, named Insite, also had long hair perfect for headbanging, and he nailed Jonathan Davis‘ beatboxing portion. Uniquely, Underwood knew each and every Korn lyric, and even joined Insite on the floor to perform “Bodies” by Drowing Pool.
