R. Kelly Sued By Woman Claiming Singer Impregnated Her When She Was 17

A third woman has come forward to file a civil suit against R. Kelly, claiming that not only did the singer have sex with her when she was underage, but that he also forced her to have an abortion. Kelly’s lawyers, in response, said that they’re not going to settle this case and plan to fight it in court. Patrice Jones, now 20, filed a suit Monday in the Cook County Circuit Court in Chicago accusing Kelly of criminal sexual assault and intentional infliction of emotional distress, seeking $50,000 in damages. She alleges that after meeting Kelly in December 1998,… Read more »

Papa Roach's 'She Loves Me Not' Inspired By Marital Strife

The inspiration for “She Loves Me Not,” the first single from Papa Roach’s upcoming album, Lovehatetragedy, didn’t come easy to frontman Jacoby Shaddix. The track is about his sometimes-turbulent relationship with his wife, Kelly, who recently gave birth to their first child, Makaile Cielo Shaddix. The chorus, which includes the lines, “I don’t know if I care/ I’m the jerk/ Life’s not fair/ Fighting all the time/ This is out of line/ She loves me not,” illustrates the stress of trying to juggle your relationship and your band. “I feel like anything I do is just not enough,” Shaddix, formerly… Read more »

P. Diddy Rescued By Loon, Ginuwine, Models Galore In 'Girl, Part 2'

Thankfully one of Diddy’s Bad Boys, Loon, revealed that he, Ginuwine and a house full of models help rescue P.D. from the doldrums in the clip for “I Need a Girl, Part 2.” “The first [song], to me, is like a hip-hop ballad,” surmised Loon, who also rapped in the original video. “It’s real slow, real smooth. The second song is more like a release of Puff [from] dwelling on his female situation.… Read more »

The Ramones Ushered Into Rock Hall

They represented the anti-establishment, so it was a bit odd to see the Ramones so happy to become part of the music establishment as members of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. But for the remaining members of the punk rock originators – whose lead singer, Joey Ramone, died last year – Monday night’s induction at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel represented long-overdue respect for the band that helped revolutionize rock with their rapid-fire, guitar-heavy songs. “I’d like to congratulate myself, and thank myself, and give myself a big pat on the back,” joked Dee Dee Ramone. “Thank you Dee Dee,… Read more »

Afterward, he accompanied Bush to a speech, then had another session with White House officials. “I am a pest, I am a stone in the shoe of a lot of people living here in this town, a squeaky wheel,” he told reporters. “It is much easier and hipper for me to be on the barricades with a handkerchief over… Read more »
