Papa Roach’s upcoming album, lovehatetragedy, may find the group gravitating from rap-rock to a more straightforward rock sound, but that doesn’t mean the band has abandoned hip-hop entirely. Godsmack, System of a Down, Creed and Nickelback will contribute new songs to Music from and Inspired by “The Scorpion King”, the soundtrack to the third Mummy movie. The disc is due March 26th. The Godsmack song, “I Stand Alone,” will be the collection’s first single, hitting radio stations February 5th. Robinson’s debut solo album, Dawn, will hit stores October 16, with the sassy, uptempo single “Envious” leading the way at radio in mid-September.
