Aaliyah's Parents Settle Plane Crash Suit


The parents of R&B singer and actress Aaliyah have reached an undisclosed settlement in a negligence lawsuit over her death in a 2001 plane crash, family attorneys said. A chartered Cessna 402B carrying Aaliyah and eight others crashed shortly after takeoff on a flight from Marsh Harbour in the Bahamas to the Miami suburb of Opa-locka. Investigators believed the plane was 700 pounds overloaded. Hoobastank Guitarist Suffers Head Injury; Tour Off


The guitarist with modern rock band Hoobastank is in serious but stable condition following surgery for a head injury sustained during a motorbike accident earlier this week in Myrtle Beach, S.C.. The Warped Tour kicked off in Boise, Idaho at the Idaho Center Amphitheater on Thursday (June 19), playing to 10,000 fans. Weiland Pleads Not Guilty To Drug Charges, Offers To Go To Rehab


Scott Weiland pleaded not guilty to charges of drug possession Monday (June 2), and offered to put himself in rehab before his next court date. The Stone Temple Pilots singer had been arrested last month in Burbank after police stopped him for a minor traffic violation and found what they believed to be drugs. He was charged with two felony counts of possession of heroin and cocaine.
