*NSYNC singer Lance Bass recently underwent an outpatient “surgical procedure” to correct an irregular heartbeat, his publicist told Reuters on Thursday (May 16). The procedure was performed several weeks ago in order for the singer to be able to pass the intensive training required to become the world’s first pop singer to take a Russian Soyuz rocket to the International Space Station. The surgery was an outpatient procedure and Bass is doing well.
