Judy McGrath, President, MTV Networks Music Group, today announced that she has named Christina Norman to assume the top role at VH1 – Executive Vice President and General Manager. Christina was previously Senior Vice President of Marketing and On-Air Promotion at MTV, where she was responsible for the on and off air marketing, branding and positioning of MTV, MTV2 and MTV.com. Judging by the number of cars bearing Canada license plates around Michigan State University’s Breslin Center on Tuesday, it was clear that Vancouver’s Nickelback were going to feel right at home. Fans waved maple-leaf flags around the venue before the Campus Invasion show, which also featured performances by Starsailor, Injected and Nickelback protégées Default. Goo Goo Dolls have begun confirming dates for a North American tour in support of their latest Warner Bros. album, “Gutterflower,” released this week. The first six dates begin May 23 in Houston and will be preceded by a May 3 show at the Astoria in London.
