Warped Tour Bands, Dates Confirmed


Rancid, Weezer, 311, Kool Keith, Pennywise, Rollins Band, and the Misfits are some of the bigger artists confirmed to play the annual Vans Warped Tour, set to kick off June 22 in Phoenix. An official announcement of participating venues and additional acts for the nearly two-month tour is expected within two weeks. Making its Warped Tour debut this year will be Incredibly Strange Wrestling, a hybrid of punk rock and hardcore wrestling. Guns N' Roses To Play London


Guns N’ Roses will play the UK for the first time since their shows at the Milton Keynes Bowl in 1993. Tickets go on sale Friday (March 2). A source close to the band hinted the show will not be part of an extensive UK tour, although an extra date at the Docklands has not been ruled out. The band’s long-awaited new album, ‘Chinese Democracy’, is expected in June to coincide with the shows. Papa Roach Planning To 'Raid The Nation'


Alt-metal act Papa Roach will hit the road in March on what the band has dubbed the Raid The Nation tour. Supporting will be Orgy and Alien Ant Farm, the later being the first signing to Papa Roach’s New Noize imprint. The tour will kick off March 17 in New Orleans. Papa Roach, which also has plans to join the mainstage line-up of this year’s Ozzfest, is nominated for a best new artist Grammy. Stipe Says New R.E.M. Album Is Far-Out


Singer Michael Stipe says R.E.M.’s next album takes the Georgia band’s sound into deep space. “If the last one was like Mars, this one is like Neptune,” he said last week at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah.
