Dirty 'Deeds': Adam Sandler, David Bowie Record Duet


Perhaps David Bowie is taking this “collaborate with the unexpected” thing a bit too far. Dave Grohl (a rock and roll purist) and Moby (remember Outside?) at least make some sense, but Adam Sandler? Christina Aguilera Album Expected In June


After explaining “What a Girl Wants” and issuing the invitation to “Come on Over” in 1999, Christina Aguilera is acting like a “Genie in a Bottle” by granting her fans’ wishes for new material. Aguilera’s new album, which she’s been working on in a Los Angeles studio since September, is expected to drop in June, according to an RCA Records spokesperson. Foo Fighters Rework Song For 'Out Cold' Soundtrack


The Foo Fighters have reworked an old B-side into a new song, to be included in the soundtrack to the forthcoming movie Out Cold. The song was originally titled “Make A Bet,” and it was recorded during the band’s The Colour And The Shape sessions. The band changed a few verses and the song structure and created a new tune, “Win Or Lose.” The Out Cold soundtrack will be released November 20 on RCA Records. Bertelsmann Faces The Music Amid Layoff Reports


German media giant Bertelsmann’s shakeup of its flagging music division looks set to continue with U.S.-based subsidiary Bertelsmann Music Group (BMG) reportedly looking to lay off hundreds of employees in its efforts to cut costs and raise profits. Rumors followed the appointment last week of former BMG Germany chief Thomas Stein to head BMG’s European division. Country Icon Chet Atkins, "Mr. Guitar,'' Dead At 77


Influential guitarist Chet Atkins, who helped modernize country music in the 1960s, paving the way for the massive commercial force that it is today, died in Nashville Saturday. He was 77. In 1973 and in 1997, Atkins had fought both colon cancer and brain cancer, surviving a number of surgeries.
