Local bands, it’s that time of year again! The Vans Warped Tour Battle Of The Bands Voting started today. Bands have been emailing and messaging me about my take on entering the contest, *GASP* if I could vote for their band to play Date X on the tour, and if it’s “worth it”.
Since 1995 the Vans Warped Tour has brought hundreds of bands all around the country right into fans’ backyards. For many music lovers, the hype of Warped eclipses every other day of the year.

When an event has been around for 13 years, it’s usually time to shake things up. And while Ozzfest chose to do that by going free, the Vans Warped tour opted to piece together one of its most diverse rosters to date. Jared Leto was left with a broken nose and several other injuries as a concert appearance by his rock band 30 Seconds To Mars lifted the roof at a concert hall in El Paso, Texas. Leto was injured when he ran into the crowd during one of his band’s biggest hits “The Kill”, according to the band’s record label, during a show last week which also featured several other acts under the ‘Taste of Chaos’ banner.
