Dylan and OutKast to Appear at Grammys


Bob Dylan, OutKast and Joshua Bell are among the latest confirmed performances for the 44th annual Grammy Awards telecast Feb. 27 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Grammy Goody Bags Worth $16,000


Presenters and performers at the Grammys will get more than just bragging rights about being on stage. The goody bags created for the artists to take home are said to be worth $16,000 a piece. Inside are items like diamond earrings, a sports club membership, a wireless e-mail device and a bust of themselves in bronze or aluminum. Since No Doubt singer Gwen Stefani announced her engagement to Gavin Rossdale of Bush, her bag will contain $5,000 worth of dishes from an unusual housewares store. The bags also include everyday items like deodorant and Tic-Tacs.

Grammys Add More Performers, Presenters


Destiny’s Child will perform with Alejandro Sanz at the 44th Grammy Awards, which will also feature newly confirmed performances by Train and Alan Jackson. No Doubt Writes For Themselves


No Doubt admits that when they sit down to write a song they don’t have their fans in mind. They write what they like. Singer Gwen Stefani says that they’d be sell-outs if they wrote songs purposely because they thought their fans would like them. She jokes that they are selfish and only do it for themselves. Due to their need to write for themselves the band has noticed a recurring problem: many of their songs are complicated. The group has tried to write simpler tunes but have found that they just can’t.

Nelly To Ride Wit' 'NSYNC At Grammys; DMB Also Performing


Nelly, Dave Matthews Band and an all-star bluegrass tribute to the “O Brother, Where Art Thou?” soundtrack have been added to the performance lineup at this month’s Grammy Awards ceremony. No Doubt To Launch Rock Steady Roadshow In March


No Doubt are taking their Rock Steady to the streets, beginning in mid-March. The ska-turned-reggae rock quartet will launch its first proper tour in support of its latest album, Rock Steady, with two offshore dates in Puerto Rico and Venezuela, on March 14 and 16, respectively, according to an Interscope Records spokesperson. Veteran rockers U2 grabbed a leading eight Grammys nominations Friday, including record, album and song of the year. But the day’s biggest surprise was neosoul newcomer India.Arie, who nabbed seven nominations.
