In the commercial, which is set at a crowded party, Powers (Mike Myers) discovers that Spears’ Pepsi isn’t really what it seems – it’s a Pepsi Twist. A quarter-century after they shot to infamy with the scathing anti-royal song “God Save the Queen,” the Sex Pistols are reuniting in the summer of Queen Elizabeth II’s Golden Jubilee. The legendary punk band will perform July 27 at London’s Crystal Palace sports center, singer John Lydon said today (May 16). Britney Spears’ next single “Boys,” from her latest album Britney, will do double duty as one of the upcoming singles from the soundtrack to Austin Powers in Goldmember. The soundtrack version, however, will be an exclusive remix of the track by the ubiquitous production duo, the Neptunes, who worked on Britney as well. The “Boys” remix is tentatively set as the second single from the soundtrack. Beyonce Knowles’ “Work It Out” is expected to be the first single and will hit radio in early June. Austin Powers will appear in Britney Spears’ video for “Boys,” the Neptunes-produced next single from Britney (2001) and the first release from the “Austin Powers in Goldmember” soundtrack. Spears and Mike Myers, the man behind the international man of mystery, are filming the clip in a Hollywood mansion Tuesday (May 14) and Wednesday, according to Spears’ Jive Records spokesperson. Elton John performed at Buckingham Palace – but Queen Elizabeth II was not at home to hear him. The singer recorded a song to be played at a concert in honor of the queen’s Golden Jubilee on June 3.
