The Pretty Wild & Magnolia Park Collab On High-Octane “Afterlife”

Sister duo Jyl and Jules Wylde, aka The Pretty Wild, just teamed up with Magnolia Park for a high-octane new collab, “Afterlife.” Jules notes, “‘AFTERLIFE’ circles the idea of star-crossed souls bound by something ancient and unbreakable. Conceptually, it’s plucked from the kind of love you find in mythology and old tragedies, where you have this obsessive devotion and destruction. It isn’t perfect, but it’s dark, beautiful, and eternal.” Jyl adds, “‘AFTERLIFE’ explores the idea that love dynamics are rooted in codependent magnetism and resonance patterns. It asks, what happens when obsession doesn’t end with death, but carries ur soul… Read more »

The track is set to appear on their forthcoming LP cut. turn. fade. back., due out Friday, October 24. Lead vocalist Donovan Melero shares, “Bertrand Cantat killed his girlfriend in the early-’00s, citing violence as a ‘crime of passion.’ He served an embarrassingly low sentence, and many questions still surround the case. It’s absurd.” Melero says, “‘Insensitive Tempo’ was inspired by… Read more »

Bands Reuniting at When We Were Young 2025

If When We Were Young Fest has taught us anything, it’s that nostalgia still rules the alternative music scene. Each year, the Las Vegas-based festival manages to one-up itself with its lineup, and 2025 is no exception. With the reunion of Panic! At The Disco at the heart of this year’s lineup, the festival will see several other bands reunite.  Panic! At The Disco Few bands defined the 2000s emo boom quite like Panic! At The Disco. From their breakout 2005 debut, A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out, to Brendon Urie’s time on Broadway, Panic! became one of the most… Read more »
