Backstreet Boys Postpone Tour As A.J. McLean Seeks Treatment


The Backstreet Boys have postponed the next month of their Black & Blue world tour to allow the group’s A.J. McLean to get treatment for alcohol abuse, depression and anxiety. The other four members of the group told MTV News on Monday (July 9) that they will postpone all dates of their tour until an August 7 show in Vancouver, British Columbia. Zomba Music Group, home to pop stars Britney Spears, ‘N Sync and the Backstreet Boys, is talking with several big recording companies regarding a Canadian distribution deal for its music, sources familiar withthe company said. According to sources, Bertelsmann AG’s BMG Music was told in late March that New York-based Zomba would not renew its Canadian distribution deal, giving it six months to find a new partner. Dakona, Newly Signed Maverick Band, Set To Headline Teen Suicide Prevention Benefit Concert


Recently-signed band Dakona, currently hard at work on their debut album for Maverick Recording Company, will take a break from recording to headline a benefit concert to help teen suicide prevention.
