Bonnaroo sets dates for 2009


The eighth Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival will take place June 11-14, 2009, on its usual site in Manchester, Tennessee, an hour southeast of Nashville. The first round of ticket presales begins Thursday ( December 4 ); a lineup announcement is expected early next year. The initial batch of tickets will be available for the first time as part of a payment plan encompassing five installments of $50.

Dylan, Dead Head Bonnaroo Lineup


Bob Dylan, the Dead, Phish’s Trey Anastasio, Willie Nelson and Dave Matthews & Friends are among the highlights of the initial lineup for the third annual Bonnaroo festival (June 11-13), Billboard.com can reveal. The event will be held on a 700-acre farm in rural Manchester, Tenn., about 60 miles south of Nashville. Wallows Soar Up, Up And Away On “Coffin Change”


If you thought Wallows was done blessing you with new music, guess again. The band announced in early February that their forthcoming EP More, due out on March 28, is the follow-up to 2024’s Model. To give a taste of what’s to come, the indie-rock trio dropped “Coffin Change” alongside a music video. Braeden Lemasters sings, “If there’s a price to pay, maybe I’ll find it in my pocket/Pinching all my pennies ‘til they shove me in my coffin,” over surf-rock melodies and nostalgia-inducing synths. Jack’s Mannequin Announce Extensive 20th Anniversary Tour
