Gracenote Data Services (GDS) aggregates this information weekly from over 27 million listeners worldwide, and 4,000 media players powered by the Gracenote CDDB Music Recognition Service(SM). Butch Waugh has been promoted to executive vp at RCA Label Group RLG/Nashville. He will report to label group chairman Joe Galante. Waugh most recently was senior vp and general manager at RLG. His promotion marks the first executive post created at the label group. Waugh’s new responsibilities include overseeing promotion, artist development, media, sales, creative and label development for all of RLG’s imprints, including Arista Nashville, BNA Records and RCA Records.
