The Fest has announced the 2023 line-up and it is stacked with hundreds of incredible bands. Celebrating its 21st year, The Fest will be held in Gainesville, FL on October 27th, 28th, and 29th. Headliners this year include Thursday, Decendents and Less Than Jake, with both Thursday and Less Than Jake performing special album shows. Thursday will play two sets, featuring their album War All The Time. Less Than Jake will do the same with their album Hello Rockview. Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder is bringing back the annual Ohana Festival this fall to Dana Point, CA, and he’s bringing some renowned friends with him this year. Returning to California from Sept. 29-Oct. 1 at Doheny State Beach, the latest installment features Vedder headlining alongside The Killers, Haim, The Chicks, Foo Fighters, and Pretenders. Last week, emerging Nashville artist BAYBE blessed us with her new single “Father, Son, Holy Ghost.” Now, the rising starlet has unleashed the ceremonious accompanying video for her latest venture. “Father, Son, Holy Ghost” will be featured on BAYBE’s debut EP God’s Favorite, which arrives on April 28. Acting as a cult leader-like figure, BAYBE heads a chaotic mass gathering, which eventually leads to her followers drinking blood-like liquid from a glass in a church. Epitaph Records newest signing, Roe Kapara, has taken the scene by storm. You may recognize him from one of many viral videos featuring Kapara sitting stoic in front of a vintage television that is playing an old cartoon or classic movie. Usually with guitar in hand, he drones the soft melodies to the viewer with lyricism that is reminiscent of a perfect blend of The Front Bottoms, Microwave and Jeremy Zucker. Arrows in Action are back with another all-too-catchy tune, “Head In The Clouds” out today. The track stands out among their previous releases as a warm, sunny, feel-good anthem just in time for summer. Produced by frequent collaborator, Dan Swank, the new track pairs a laid-back groove with carefree lyrics to drive the point home. The Nashville-based group defines themselves as “pop punk adjacent”, which hits the nail right on the head.
