We’re going back to the future… okay, so maybe we’re just hearing music from the future. Either way, you’re gonna like it. Brian Ling, John Gold, The Black Keys and more are streaming on this week’s First Person.
Remember back when you’d stop by the diner to grab a soda pop before the sock hop? Okay, well maybe you don’t, but these songs do. This week Josh plays The Drifters, The Chordettes, Sam Cooke, and more.
If last episode was for punk rock, this episode is for good ol’ classic rock. Call your dad and gather ‘round your best speaker—we’re rockin’ the Grateful Dead, Simon & Garfunkel, and the Black Crowes.
When was the last time you had a history lesson? Resident professor of good tunes Josh Madden is here to school y’all on punk rock. From the beginning of punk rock as Josh knows it, we’ll listen our way through the lesson with The Ramones, The Runaways, Social Distortion, and more.
Hey audience, Josh is reading letters from you on the latest episode of First Person! Tune in to hear if he answers you, then jam out to The Virgins and Miniature Tigers.
These are some dark times… at least they are when Josh dives into the world of goth.
It’s the very first First Person and the first thing we’re gonna do is introduce you to some new songs to hear first.
