Cobra Starship took to the When We Were Young 2024 Purple Stage at 3:30 PM to play their beloved LP ¡Viva la Cobra! in its entirety. The 2007 Patrick Stump-produced record includes hits such as “Guilty Pleasure” and “Kiss My Sass.” During their set, the band decked out the stage to look like the inside of an airplane, dressed as pilots and stewardesses before throwing on their iconic purple hoodies. In a moment that has started to gain attention on TikTok, Y2K artist Middle Part posted a now semi-viral video on August 1, 2024, in which they allegedly overheard My Chemical Romance rehearsing their 2004 breakout single “I’m Not Okay (I Promise).” The track appears on the group’s album Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge, which celebrated its 20 year anniversary in June. It is with deep sorrow that we report the sudden passing of Bill Crook, the former bassist of the Spiritbox and the pop-punk act Living With Lions.
