Nick Major is joined live in the studio by Steven Bryan Jackson and the two chat about the possibility of Sublime reuniting with late-vocalist Bradley Nowell’s son Jakob taking over on vocals/guitar – following this exact scenerio unfolding at a Bad Brains benefit show last week in Los Angeles.
The remaining members of the band have performed under the name Sublime with Rome since 2009 – when musician Rome Ramirez joined the band. They played iconic Sublime songs and new songs (they have released 3 albums as Sublime with Rome). In 2011, original drummer Bud Gaugh left the project after not feeling interest in playing Bradley’s songs without him on vocals… but he returned for last week’s reunion!
Bradley was 28 when he passed away, his son is 28 now and sounded incredible so we’re excited to see what happens!
Also, on the eve of Nick’s interview with Knox, this episode is sprinkled with exclusive clips from the upcoming chat that’s dropping at YouTube!
And the new documentary ‘David Holmes: The Boy Who Lived’ is an incredible film with Daniel Radcliffe serving as executive producer. It follows the story of stunt performer David Holmes, who was Radlcliffe’s stunt-double in every Harry Potter film until a serious accident on the set of Deathly Hallows Part I left him paralyzed. Hear Nick’s thoughts on it and be sure to check it out yourself because it’s a powerful one.
