Geek Girl Riot jumps into the Spider-Verse to discuss Spider-Man: No Way Home before heading on into the Matrix for a completely meta conversation about The Matrix Resurrections.
Spider-Man: No Way Home
Sherin and Julian kick off the show by ringing that Spoiler Siren to talk all things Spider-Verse. Spider-Man: No Way Home is out now—spoilers are everywhere—and our dynamic duo get into all of it. You have been warned. Sherin says: “Spider-Man: No Way Home is the test of what it means to be a hero and what it costs.” They get into the heroes and the villains (oh, the Spidey villains) and discuss how this is the Spider-Man movie they’ve been waiting for.
“There is not a moment in this movie that drags—you are fully along for this ride. Unlike a lot of films with large ensembles, Spider-Man: No Way Home finds a way to give everybody a complete story. This movie has a heartbeat.”–Sherin Nicole
The Matrix Resurrections
Then our Rioters take the red pill and jump into the Matrix to give you a sneak-peek of The Matrix Resurrections, coming to theaters and HBO Max tomorrow! There will be no spoilers, only machines as they share their expectations going in, their love for the franchise, and what kind of thrill ride you’re about to be taken on. Sherin says of the film:
“Lana Wachowski gives us a clue in the title. This is a resurrection of the excitement and sense of wonder we felt when we watched the first Matrix. It’s damn near impossible for a franchise that is already a game changer, having been copied so many times, to re-excite us with both nostalgia and something new; yet Resurrections does both full blaze.”
