We could all use some escapism right now…especially to keep our hearts and minds encouraged as we stand up for equality and democracy while fighting a pandemic…which is why Geek Girl Riot’s Heroic Trio are chilling this week and talking about whatever they feel like. And, um, things get weird.

Virtual Strip Clubs, Steamy Netflix Flicks, and…Animal Crossing
Sherin and Alex immediately regret inviting Philip to shoot the s#!t with them as he launches into his promotion uhhh, description for a virtual strip club. Yup. That leads Sherin to discuss a rather steamy Netflix film called 365 Dni. Alex refuses to participate in their shenanigans and instead brings things back to the more innocent subject of Animal Talking, the new Animal Crossing-themed late night talk show.

Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts & Love, Victor
The next segment starts with a lesson in how not to bring up Game of Thrones S8 ever. But then our Rioters move onto happier subjects, including Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts, the wonderful Netflix animated series that Sherin and Philip are loving. Sherin and Alex also share their feels for Love, Victor, an LGBTQIA love story which is out now on Hulu (read our review). Oh, and Philip chimes in to tell you why he hates teenagers.

Uhhh…Hey To The Max, SDCC, and Batwoman, What’s Happening?
To close us out, our Rioters dig into the questionable choice of marketing that is HBO + DC’s To The Max digital comic series…which takes them on a detour to unleashing their feels about the now-virtual San Diego Comic Con, as well as the Snyder Cut (not to mention shirtless Darkseid)((never mention shirtless Darkseid)). They also discuss the drama that’s been happening with Batwoman—namely Ruby Rose’s exit—and how you can’t just replace Kate Kane as Batwoman, her lesbian identity is too important.
