This week we have a chinwag about the world of sound engineers on tour and why we feel there are so few females in that position. Afterward, we chat with Memphis native Amanda Davis, FOH (front of house) engineer for Janelle Monáe and Tegan and Sara.
Amanda tells us about her first job as an audio engineer working at a church, to then working on a cruise ship, to getting a phone call from Janelle Monáe’s tour and production manager informing her that Monáe wanted a female FOH, and the rest is history.
