DJ/Producer Hector Fonseca came up in early 2000s NYC with Mark Ronson, Samantha Ronson and Honey Dijon at the intersection of the underground New York, Queer, Latino, fashion, and House music scenes.
Over a career spanning 20+ years, Hector has risen towards the top of global queer dance culture, touring the world, headlining festivals, and amassing over twenty #1 Billboard-charting remixes for artists including Lady Gaga, Sia and Rihanna.
Now Hector runs his record label Audio4Play, nurturing and giving voice to independent artists while he continues to explore his artistry.
In this episode, Hector sits down to reflect on his career, share stories of apprenticing for the legendary Grammy-winner Peter Rauhofer and his run-ins with Lady Gaga and Kim Petras as they were both starting out and exploding onto the scene. | Brought to you by the remixer-hiring platform Mixilary.com.
