The USO will send rock band New Found Glory to meet with service members at Hickam Air Force Base in Hawaii Aug. 14. On their first USO tour, band members will visit with troops, sign autographs and tour the base. A Florida-based rock band, New Found Glory launched their musical career in 1997. After weeks on the festival circuit, Evanescence are set to embark on their first large-scale headlining tour. Amy Lee, Ben Moody and company will top the marquee on the Nintendo Fusion Tour, a multi-band music-and-gaming fiesta promising to visit 25 North American cities, according to a Nintendo spokesperson. Sharon Osbourne seems to be doing well following her first session of chemotherapy Monday, with husband Ozzy by her side. She’s in “very good spirits – she’s very upbeat,” the Osbournes’ spokesperson told USA Today. Sharon’s three-month chemo prescription is treating the cancer that was initially thought to be confined to her colon, but following an operation, was found to have spread. She was first diagnosed with the disease earlier this month. Alien Ant Farm’s tour bus collided with a truck in Cáceres, Spain, early Wednesday morning (May 22), resulting in the bus driver’s death and the band sustaining minor injuries. The members of the band were taken to a nearby hospital, roughly 200 kilometers west of Madrid, according to a Dreamworks Records spokesperson. Singer Dryden Mitchell sustained back injuries, guitarist Terry Corso broke his ankle, bassist Tye Zamora injured his foot and drummer Mike Cosgrove entered the hospital with cuts and bruises as a result of the accident.
