Cleveland’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum, a not-for-profit educational facility, and United Stations Radio Networks, an independent leader in the network radio programming business, today announced that they had joined forces to create nationally distributed radio programs. The partnership calls for the development of at least one regularly scheduled radio project to commence later this year, and within that agreement, United Stations has been granted the right to act as “The Official Radio Network” for The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum. One of rock’s more upbeat bands, Blink-182, will scrub dour rockers Staind from their three-week reign atop the Billboard 200 albums chart next week. Blink-182’s new album, Take Off Your Pants and Jacket, which boasts the radio hit “Rock Show,” sold nearly 350,000 copies last week and will land at #1, according to SoundScan data released Wednesday (June 20). The plot was spoiled well before Eric Clapton even took the stage of Dallas’ Reunion Arena for the maiden performance of his 2001 Reptile tour.
