Dick Clark says Michael Jackson would be on the American Music Awards, but Michael Greene won’t let him. The TV personality/producer filed a $10 million lawsuit on Wednesday (December 19) against Greene, president and CEO of the Recording Academy, claiming that Greene’s Grammy booking policy prevents top artists from appearing on Clark’s American Music Awards. Psychic spoon-bender Uri Geller says record company Sony Music removed religious words and symbols from a picture he drew for Michael Jackson’s new album. Geller, a former Israeli paratrooper famous for using mysterious mental powers to bend spoons, told Reuters that Sony Music had taken out the words “God,” “Jerusalem,” “USA” and “Angel 2000” and had replaced a Star of David with a pentagram. The artwork for Michael Jackson’s much-anticipated Invincible album will feature a close-up black & white photo the singer’s left eye and raised eyebrow. The album, due out October 30, will be Jackson’s first full studio release in eight years. The album’s first single “You Rock My World” shipped to radio stations on Friday (August 24), ahead of schedule.
