Roadrunner Records has named veteran promotion man Mike Easterlin SVP of Promotion as it merges its promotion team with Lava Records under the Roadrunner banner. Easterlin will join the Roadrunner staff in its New York office on January 2. Led Zeppelin, one of the last major acts to resist digital distribution, are releasing their back catalog online. Led Zeppelin said their songs, including “Communication Breakdown,” “Whole Lotta Love” and “Stairway to Heaven,” will be available from online music stores Nov. 13. There’s quite a bit more rock than rap on Kid Rock’s first studio album in four years, tentatively titled “Rock’n’Roll Jesus,” which will arrive October 9.
