Leave it to Austin Powers to have two leading ladies, and two fine ones at that. Britney Spears and Beyoncé Knowles will release the leadoff singles from the Austin Powers in Goldmember soundtrack, with Knowles’ “Work It Out” dropping shortly before Spears’ “Boys,” which was remixed by Pharrell Williams of the Neptunes, who produced the original version. Knowles’ up-tempo “Work It Out,” which was also produced by the Neptunes, will premiere Thursday (May 23) on AOL.com. The Destiny’s Child singer will shoot a video for the song in New York in early June. “Work It Out” will also be the… Read more »

After playing a “Foxy” detective and leading lady to Mike “Austin Powers” Myers, Beyoncé Knowles will return to familiar territory for her next role in “The Fighting Temptations.” The Destiny’s Child star will play a member of a gospel choir that a hip-hop producer – played by Academy Award-winner Cuba Gooding Jr. – must lead to success before he can collect a large inheritance. Along the way, Gooding’s character falls for Knowles’ character. Jonathan Lynn (“The Whole Nine Yards,” “My Cousin Vinny”) will direct the film, which is scheduled to begin shooting in mid-June, according to Mathew Knowles, Beyoncé’s manager… Read more »

Knowles says she’s growing wary of too much exposure. “I just hope people don’t get sick of us,” Beyonce tells Newsweek in its May 21 edition. “I’m sick of us and I’m in Destiny’s Child…. There has to be some mystery so people are excited when they see you.” The group’s new… Read more »
