Rancid, Blink-182, Green Day Members Step To The Mic For Charles Manson Movie


Rancid frontman Tim Armstrong is turning to Charles Manson for salvation, and he’s bringing Kelly Osbourne and members of Blink-182, Green Day and AFI along for the ride. When he finishes this year’s Vans Warped Tour, Armstrong will put the finishing touches on the upcoming stop-motion animated film “Live Freaky! Die Freaky!” in which Manson surfaces in a post-apocalyptic wasteland to guide a group of survivors who are desperately searching for a spiritual leader. Audioslave, Incubus, Others Kick Off Lollapalooza


Lollapalooza kicks off on Saturday (July 5) in Indianapolis, Indiana, two days after the original start date in Ionia, Michigan (July 3), which was cancelled before the start of the tour. Tommy Stinson Announces U.K. & U.S. Tour Dates

Zwan Cancels World Tour


Zwan has canceled its entire world tour, due to what the band termed “family reasons” on its official website, zwan.com. The canceled tour was to start in Imola, Italy on June 15, and end at the famed Fuji Festival in Japan on January 25. Glastonbury, T In The Park, and the Witnness Festival were among the European festivals Zwan will miss. Corgan's Zwan Signs To Reprise


Billy Corgan’s post-Smashing Pumpkins group Zwan has signed to Reprise and will release its debut album in late January or early February, a spokesperson confirms. The group features Corgan on guitar and vocals, former Pumpkins drummer Jimmy Chamberlin, former Chavez guitarist Matt Sweeney, ex-Slint guitarist David Pajo, and bassist Paz Lenchantin, previously a member of A Perfect Circle. No Doubt drummer Adrian Young became a father Saturday (February 9) when his wife gave birth to Mason James Young in a Southern California hospital.
