Kid Rock's 'Cocky' Goes Platinum


Kid Rock’s latest album, Cocky, has been certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association Of America (RIAA) for shipping 1 million copies. Cocky is Rock’s third consecutive platinum album, following in the footsteps of Devil Without A Cause and History Of Rock. Incubus Has Platinum 'View', Staind Now Quadruple Platinum


Incubus’s Morning View reached platinum status for sales of 1 million copies, and Staind’s Break The Cycle reached the quadruple platinum mark for sales of 4 million copies, as certified by the Recording Industry Association of America. The winners of the 2001 Latin Grammys were announced at a press conference in the Conga Room in Los Angeles on October 30th. Carole King-Her Greatest Hits certified platinum


Carole King-Her Greatest Hits (Songs of Long Ago), has been certified platinum by the RIAA on September 4. The compilation was originally released in March, 1978 and reissued by Sony Legacy in May, 1999. Latin Stars Record Tribute To Attack Victims


Stars of the Latin pop music world have gathered in a Miami music studio to record a song to raise money for families of the victims of the attacks on the United States. The song, called “El Ultimo Adios” (The Last Goodbye), was written by producer Emilio Estefan and Gian Marco. Latin Grammy Awards Won't Be Rescheduled


The second annual Latin Grammy Awards, which were moved from Miami to Los Angeles over security concerns and then canceled last Tuesday after terror attacks in New York and Washington, will be not be rescheduled, it was announced Friday.
