Kid Rock’s latest album, Cocky, has been certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association Of America (RIAA) for shipping 1 million copies. Cocky is Rock’s third consecutive platinum album, following in the footsteps of Devil Without A Cause and History Of Rock. Incubus’s Morning View reached platinum status for sales of 1 million copies, and Staind’s Break The Cycle reached the quadruple platinum mark for sales of 4 million copies, as certified by the Recording Industry Association of America. Stars of the Latin pop music world have gathered in a Miami music studio to record a song to raise money for families of the victims of the attacks on the United States. The song, called “El Ultimo Adios” (The Last Goodbye), was written by producer Emilio Estefan and Gian Marco. Nearly 60 artists from several countries took part in the recording Thursday night at the Criteria studios, among them Carlos Vives, Juan Luis Guerra, Gloria Estefan and Luis Enrique. The second annual Latin Grammy Awards, which were moved from Miami to Los Angeles over security concerns and then canceled last Tuesday after terror attacks in New York and Washington, will be not be rescheduled, it was announced Friday.
