Three years after the release of his last album of original material, B-movie rocker Rob Zombie is ready to come roaring back this fall with a brand new album and a U.S. tour. Zombie is nearly finished recording his second solo LP (or third, if you count his 1999 remix release, American Made Music to Strip By), according to his management. Known for his work with The Used, Bert McCracken recently dropped his latest single under his solo project robbietheused with “The Feels.” The track follows the singer’s previous release, “Just A Little Bit.” Like its predecessor, “The Feels” is accompanied by a bright claymation music video. Ozzy Osbourne, Rob Zombie, Mudvayne and Soil are inviting fans to A Night of Merry Mayhem, the 33-city jaunt formerly known as the Black Christmas tour. Osbourne changed the tour’s name to the more jovial title in light of the events of September 11. The two-month trek kicks off appropriately on Halloween in Tucson, Arizona, according to Osbourne’s publicist. The creepy caravan will meander through the country before returning to the Grand Canyon State and wrapping up on New Year’s Eve in Phoenix. Ozzy Osbourne joined horror rocker Rob Zombie in a Los Angeles studio last week to work on “Iron Head,” a song to be included on Zombie’s upcoming album. Zombie’s sophomore solo release has been pushed back to October 30th, fittingly right before Halloween. In addition to Osbourne, the album will include guest appearances by Slayer guitarist Kerry King, former Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee, Limp Bizkit ‘s DJ Lethal and Beastie Boys compatriot Mix Master Mike. With his debut feature film still in studio limbo, Rob Zombie is turning his attention back to music. The horror rocker has nearly completed the recording of his second solo album – and the follow-up to 1998’s triple-platinum Hellbilly Deluxe – and it’s scheduled to hit stores in September. The shockmeister is also planning a U.S. tour to follow in October and promises his “largest stage show ever,” according to a post on his Web site.
