Recent Pure Noise Records signees Ben Quad are gearing up to release their 5-track EP Ephemera on October 25. On October 7, the band revealed the title track of their forthcoming record, which was preceded by “You’ll Get Nothing And Like It” and “Your Face As An Effigy.” The band shares that “Ephemera” is the “the boiling point of the record. Albany-based punk rockers Prince Daddy & The Hyena just announced an expansive headlining tour across the U.S. beginning in October. The tour kicks off on Oct. 9 at Denver’s Oriental Theater and wraps up on October 28 at Memphis’ Growlers. Ben Quad has announced that they’ve inked a deal with Pure Noise Records and they’ve released their label debut single, “You’ll Get Nothing And Like It.” “It’s a song about the financial institutions created to keep us in a cycle of debt and dependency,” the band shares in a press release. “The track’s spoken line ‘You were made to throw away’ announces the main theme of the forthcoming record. In celebration of five years of No Earbuds, the music PR firm run by industry veteran Jamie Coletta, the inaugural No Earbuds Fest is on its way. The day-long punk music-lovers dream show takes place on June 15 at Pomona, California’s The Glasshouse.
