The guitar pop of Weezer has been interpreted by a cast of underground rock bands for the collection, Rock Music-A Tribute To Weezer, due February 5 from Dead Droid Records. LFO To Open For Britney Spears


LFO has announced that it will open for Britney Spears on select December dates of her Britney 2001 U.S. tour, including December 11 at the FleetCenter in Boston; December 14 at the Entertainment & Sports Arena in Raleigh, North Carolina; December 15 at Philips Arena in Atlanta; and December 16 at the New Orleans Arena. XM Rig Tours NASCAR Winston Cup Circuit


Rounding out its programming lineup as it launches the nation’s first digital satellite radio service, XM Satellite Radio’s “NASCAR Rig” will tour the NASCAR Winston Cup circuit throughout the Southern United States this fall. Britney Spears Delays U.S. Tour Due to Flu


Pop star Britney Spears has delayed the start of her U.S. tour by five days to Oct. 31 after being laid low by the flu, her label said. The tour will now kick off in Washington at the MCI Center, Jive Records said in a statement issued late on Tuesday. It was originally supposed to begin in Miami on Oct. 26, but will now end there on Dec. 19. The Oct. 28 date in Tampa, Florida, has been rescheduled for Dec. 18. In response to this week’s terrorist attacks, many artists, from the Robert Cray Band to the Sisqo took the stage and had a moment of silence for the victims of the attacks. Tool Tap Fantomas For East Coast Tour
