Today, Netflix released the official trailer for their adaptation of Uglies, the dystopian book trilogy written by Scott Westerfield. Joey King, who stars as the trilogy’s lead, Tally Youngblood, says she was “11 years old when [she] fell in love with that first book.” To play Tally is “a dream realized.” Many fans of Westerfield’s books feel the same, as they have waited for a film adaptation to emerge for as long as they can remember. During their expansive North American tour with Pierce The Veil, blink-182 made a stop in Chicago to headline the Lollapalooza August 4 date. The forthcoming record features the recent single “A White Horse Covered in Blood” and is due out on October 25 via SharpTone Records. Papa Roach and country star Carrie Underwood have officially dropped their new collab. The two artists reimagined “Leave a Light On (Talk Away The Dark),” originally from Papa Roach’s 2022 record Ego Trip. While the song touches on themes of reaching out, it also serves as an awareness campaign for suicide prevention. All song royalties will be donated to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. “Suicide is a topic that hides in the shadows.
