Sharon Osbourne seems to be doing well following her first session of chemotherapy Monday, with husband Ozzy by her side. She’s in “very good spirits – she’s very upbeat,” the Osbournes’ spokesperson told USA Today. Sharon’s three-month chemo prescription is treating the cancer that was initially thought to be confined to her colon, but following an operation, was found to have spread. Florida rockers, Neurotica, have jumped to the main stage on the August 3rd Ozzfest date at the Polaris Amphitheatre in Columbus, OH. The band will kick things off at 5pm. British band Depeche Mode said on Thursday the September 11 suicide hijack attacks in the United States had hardly affected European musicians and concert-goers. He contrasted this to the U.S. situation, where the music industry had slowed down. They are known as the Alkaline Trio, but the way the red-hot Chicago punk band goes through drummers, they could be called the Next in Line Trio. Since founding member Glenn Porter left the group a little more than a year ago, the trio have had three different drummers, and they’ll have a fourth by fall. Porter was replaced by former Smoking Popes drummer Mike Felumlee, who left a year later to spend time with his family.
