Fall Out Boy Bassist Fights Security At Wild Gig

It’s often said by, you know, people like Hulk Hogan or Chuck “The Iceman” Liddell, that into every life, a little fisticuffs must fall. For Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz, that moment happened late Sunday night. And luckily for the rest of us, the whole thing was captured on a camera phone. As seen in a video now wildly making the rounds on the Net, Wentz and a member of Fall Out Boy’s security team took umbrage at the way one beefy security guard was treating a fan during the band’s sold-out gig at the Sunshine Theatre in Albuquerque,… Read more »

Bono To Receive Honorary Knighthood

Irish rocker and humanitarian Bono will become a knight of the British empire — but the U2 frontman won’t be called “Sir.” Bono, 46, will receive his honorary knighthood from the British ambassador to Ireland, David Reddaway, in a Dublin ceremony shortly after New Year’s Day. The Dubliner, whose real name is Paul Hewson, won’t be entitled to use the title “Sir” because he is not a national of Britain or the Commonwealth of former British colonies. A spokesperson said the singer was flattered by the honor and hoped it will help him open diplomatic doors in his campaign for… Read more »

Fred Durst Says Sex Video Was Stolen From His Computer

SANTA MONICA, California – Just days after Paris Hilton’s T-Mobile Sidekick was hacked, unleashing her topless photos and celeb-packed phonebook across the Internet, a sex video featuring Fred Durst hit the Web along with reports that it was the work of the same hacker. Though the explicit clip features the words “T-Mobile Terrorist” on it, the Limp Bizkit singer said the footage was definitely not stolen from his PDA. “If you look on Paris’ thing, I don’t use T-Mobile,” Durst said with a laugh on Friday (February 25), referring to the list of Hilton’s phone numbers that also leaked and… Read more »

2004 in Entertainment: Wacky and Tacky

2004 may go down in history as the year of the runaway breast. Yes, there was Janet Jackson’s Super Bowl flash, but don’t forget Tara Reid’s absent-minded red carpet dress-drop or the uproar over a sexy “Desperate Housewives” promo for Monday Night Football. Add in Colin Farrell’s missing manhood from the movie “A Home at the End of the World” and the curtailed puppet sex in “Team America: World Police,” and this was the year of nudity both seen and imagined. MOST INFAMOUS WARDROBE MALFUNCTION: Janet is disqualified because nobody believes it was an accident. So the prize goes to… Read more »

Bid to Delay Jackson Trial Rejected

SANTA MARIA, Calif. – A judge denied a defense bid to delay Michael Jackson’s child molestation trial, saying it would be “a huge step backward” and clearing the way for the trial to begin next month as planned. Judge Rodney S. Melville also refused to dismiss the case for what his defense lawyers had argued was “vindictive prosecution and outrageous government conduct.” Jackson attorney Robert Sanger had asked Melville to postpone the trial for three months, allowing attorneys time to sort through 14,000 pages of evidence filed by prosecutors. The request stalled at Monday’s pre-trial hearing for Jackson, who was… Read more »

Good Charlotte Singer Heats Up Duff/ Lohan Beef

Good Charlotte’s Joel Madden has allegedly gotten into the middle of the beef between Lindsay Lohan and Hilary Duff. Backstage at last Friday’s Z-100 Jingle Ball radio festival in New York, the pop-punk singer refused to give Lohan’s 8-year-old brother an autograph until she publicly apologized to Duff for their ongoing war of words, according to an eyewitness. Lohan’s brother Cody and his friend approached Madden, who had performed that evening with Good Charlotte, and asked for an autograph, the witness said. When Duff, who has been romantically linked to Madden, told him who the kids were, Madden told Cody… Read more »

Los Angeles – Michael Jackson’s lawyers have filed a motion to dismiss the child molestation charges against the pop star on grounds of “vindictive prosecution and outrageous government conduct.” They also want to push back the Jan. 31 trial date that Superior Court Judge Rodney Melville has pressed lawyers to meet for starting jury selection. The motions, filed Dec. 10 and made available Monday, are scheduled for argument in hearings to begin Dec. 20. The defense also asked Melville to suppress all evidence seized under the latest search warrants in the case. That motion and the others likely stem from… Read more »

Train Wrecks Galore At VH1 Big In '04 Awards

Los Angeles – Wednesday’s VH1 Big in ’04 awards show was a terrifying example of life imitating art, one that was dreadfully similar to “Saturday Night Live”‘s “Train Wreck Awards” skit from a few weeks ago. There was Anna Nicole Smith, just slightly more coherent than she was at the American Music Awards, threatening to flash the Shrine Auditorium audience after accepting the Big Makeover of ’04 award. There was ultimate odd couple, Flavor Flav and Brigitte Nielsen, fondling each other from the “beige carpet” to the stage, which they entered on a horse-drawn carriage. (They also tried to fondle… Read more »
