Texas blues trio ZZ Top are getting back to their roots, with a tribute album featuring 15 country artists.
“Sharp Dressed Men: A Tribute To ZZ Top,” hits stores Tuesday, with country stars covering songs made famous by Billy F. Gibbons, Frank Beard and Dusty Hill.
Kenny Chesney performs “Tush,” Brooks and Dunn tackle “Rough Boy” and Willie Nelson puts his spin on “She Loves My Automobile.” Other hits on the tribute include “Legs” by Trace Adkins, “Gimme All Your Loving” by Lonestar, “Cheap Sunglasses” by the Warren Brothers, “I’m Bad, I’m Nationwide” by Dwight Yoakum, “Sure Got Cold After the Rain Fell” by Alan Jackson and “La Grange” by Tracy Byrd.
The album also features covers by Hank Williams Jr., Hank Williams III, Andy Griggs, Montgomery Gentry and Phil Vassar.
