At Billboard‘s Billboard No. 1s Party 2024 on November 18, Rania Aniftos caught up with Zedd on the red carpet. Reflecting on his 2012 hit collaboration “Stay The Night,” featuring Paramore’s powerhouse leader Hayley Williams, Zedd shared insights into the creative synergy and memorable moments of working with the frontwoman.
Aniftos shares, “Speaking of your art standing the test of time, I don’t know if you’ve seen this, but ‘Stay The Night’ has made a resurgence on TikTok.”
“I had not,” Zedd excitedly shares.
“Working with Hayley Williams on that,” she continues. “What’s it like working with a powerhouse like her?”
“I love her,” Zedd says. “So I grew up a huge Paramore fan. And I was in my parents’ basement listening to her music, and just imagining what it would one day feel like to have her on a song. I never thought this was gonna happen.”
He continues, “But we got to do the song together. We got to perform it live. She’s amazing. There’s not a single bad thing I can say about her. She has such a powerful voice for being such a small human. She’s super talented. She’s super real. And she’s a genuine artist. Like you love them. Big shout out.”
