Yellowcard have officially announced the details surrounding their upcoming record Lift A Sail. This will be the band’s seventh studio album, to be released this September through their new label Razor & Tie. The new music was recorded with Neal Avron in Los Angeles. The band gained Anberlin’s Nate Young on drums for the record after the departure of Longineu Parsons III earlier this year. Yellowcard have also announced the first single off the record, titled “One Bedroom,” which is streaming here.
Yellowcard have been major players in the music scene since the beginning, with their debut Ocean Avenue capturing audiences across rock, pop punk, and pop genres. The band have always succeeded in combining heartfelt lyrics with a genuine rock sound, and the new record is showing signs of following suit. According to their album biography, Lift A Sail lyrics are inspired by vocalist Ryan Key’s personal experiences, like getting married and the death of his grandfather. It’s safe to say that fans have a lot to look forward to, as always, with Yellowcard’s upcoming record.
