Warner Music Group (WMG) announced today that Chris Scully has been named Vice President, Finance, Label Shared Services, reporting to John Avagliano, the newly named Senior Vice President, Financial Operations.
Mr. Scully joins WMG from Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia (MSO), where he served as Assistant Vice President, Finance and Operations, marthastewart.com. In his new capacity, Scully will be responsible for coordinating and running WMG’s new label-shared-service functions, which include office services, advertising purchasing and marketing commitments.

He’s an able executive and his considerable experience in the financial operations of the Internet and music industries equip him well to develop our shared service initiatives. Mr. Scully has more than 10 years of finance and accounting experience in the entertainment industry. He joined MSO in 2000, where he was responsible for the financial and operational management of marthastewart.com, the Internet/direct commerce business segment of the company. Prior to MSO, from 1996 to 2000, Scully was the CFO/Controller for Matador Records, and from 1995 to 1996 he was the Director, Finance and Operations for EMI Merchandising Inc. Before joining EMI, Scully served as Senior Financial Analyst at PolyGram Diversified Entertainment. He holds a BS degree from Fordham University.
